Identify the product and formula route

State the SKU or product name, destination, target customer and whether you want an available formula, a controlled variation or custom development. Include the ingredient and serving requirements already fixed. Mark preferences separately so the supplier can explain which options change the quote.

Describe the retail configuration

Provide unit count or fill weight, bottle/pouch/sachet/carton choices, artwork requirements and first-order quantity per SKU. Include any mandatory shell, allergen or ingredient-source requirements. If you are comparing two packs, request two identifiable options rather than one price based on unstated assumptions.

Add the quality-document request

Ask which manufacturing-site records apply to the quoted scope. Specify the formula reference, material or finished-product COA, relevant active assays, microbiology and individual heavy-metal requirements. Request methods, units and limits where your market or customer has particular criteria. This lets technical and commercial teams price the same scope.

Ask what is included and what remains open

List samples, development work, laboratory testing, print setup, components, freight and local artwork review as separate items for the supplier to address. Ask for quotation currency, validity, delivery basis, payment milestones and the triggers for a revised price. Keep assumptions beside the offer.

Use a versioned decision brief

Give the RFQ a date and version number. If ingredients, quantities or packaging change later, update the brief and reconcile the new quote. Link the final purchase specification to the approved sample and artwork. Use the RFQ checklist and quality-document guide as the first two attachments to your inquiry.

For a Day & Night inquiry, specify whether the requested format is the AM/PM capsule bottle duo or the 8 g powder sticks. For an oral-strip inquiry, identify the individual formula instead of writing only energy or wellness. A specific reference lets the quotation address a defined product and reduces the risk that two suppliers are pricing unrelated servings or packages.
